This term we will using the story `Chicka Chicka Boom Boom’ to have fun learning about the alphabet. Some of the KD children asked if I could put it on the blog so that they could watch it at home.
We will be doing lots of interesting activities, so check back soon to join in on the fun.
What kind of letters do you think the Mummas and Pappas are?
What kind of letters do you think the babies are?

Hello Ms Dowling and KD,
This is one of my favourite books – but the first time I have seen it on screen. Thanks for broadening my horizons. I’ll bet you have lots of fun singing along to it. I wonder what exciting alphabet activities you will do next?

Hi KD and Ms Dowling
I have put a link to this on KB’s Blog so we can enjoy it at home too!
Sometimes we just can’t stop singing it!
Can we come and see it on your Smartboard please? We can sing it together.
Thank you

Hi Miss Dowling and KD,
I think the mammas and pappas are uppercase letters, and the babies are lowercase letters. My favourite letter is D. What’s yours?

Hi Zali,
Thanks for visiting us and leaving a quality comment.
I remember reading Chicka Chicka Boom Boom to you last year and watching it lots of times on the smartboard. The song really does get stuck in your head!
My favourite thing to do at school is teach the children new things. What do you like to do?
From Ms Dowling
PS- Good luck at soccer on the weekend!

Hi Dean,
I think you are right! I think the Aunties and Uncles might be uppercase letters too. My favorite letter is D for Dowling. Why is D you favourite letter?

I think the mummas and pappas are uppercase letters. My favourite part is the part with the bandaids on them. It looks like “e” hurt his toe.
