The Gruffalo introduced us to his friend Grug.
We wanted to know more about Grug so we watched this Grug movie.
Ms Dowling also went to the library and borrowed all the Grug books she could find to read to us.
We have been writing about Grug every day! We have noticed that things always seem to go a little bit wrong for Grug but he never stops trying or gives up. He makes us laugh all the time.
You might like to visit the Grug website where you fill find some fun pictures to colour in.
Do you have a favourite Grug book?

Hi Ms Dowling and KD,
Thank you for your answers to my questions on your previous blog. You are a very lucky class – to be doing so much wonderful reading and writing. I’ll bet many of you are reading beautifully…
I am happy to hear that you have all the ‘Grug’ books from the library. In my past Year 1 classes we had all the ‘Grug’ books (in a ‘Grug’ basket of books)and many children took them home each night for home reading. I like them because they are funny – and I love the simple and bright illustrations.
What do you like about Grug books?
Have a wonderful week,
From Mrs Swan
