We have been playing lots of maths games together this term and using the tens frames to learn help us learn about combinations to ten.

Parents might like to watch this to learn more about the tens frame.

We want to learn to `instantly recall’ our addition facts to ten – that means we have to say the answer quickly!  We try to `visualise’ the tens frame to help us.  Some of us use our fingers to help us work out the answer too (for an extra challenge see if you can put your fingers behind your back as you are working out your answer).

Here is a fun game for you practise your combinations to ten. (Don’t forget to practise more maths games on the `websites for kids’ tab too.  New games are being added all the time!)

What combinations to ten do you know?
